Tax Day Is Coming: Offset Your Tax Dollars to Israel

April Fools: Bush Wants You to Spend
Your Tax Rebate this Way

Dear Doug,

Next month, the IRS will be sending most taxpayers a check for $600 as part of an economic stimulus plan passed by Congress and signed by the President.

George Bush wants you to spend the money shopping. We have a better idea. Donate part or all of your economic stimulus check to the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation to offset your tax-payer contributions to the Israeli military. To do so, please click here.

In 2007, the United States gave Israel $2.34 billion in military aid to enforce its illegal military occupation and siege of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

That amounts to each individual tax payer giving on average $8.56 to Israel to commit its human rights abuses.

With a tax-deductible contribution of $100-just 1/6 of your tax rebate-you can offset your 2007 tax contribution to the Israeli military and those of 10 other people as well. To do so, please click here.

Donate all of your tax rebate to the US Campaign and offset the tax contributions of 70 people by clicking here.

The US Campaign will use your tax-deductible contribution to continue its educational and organizing work to challenge military aid to Israel and to change U.S. policy toward Palestine/Israel to support human rights, international law, and equality for all. If you agree that this is a good use of your tax rebate, then click here.

Offsetting your tax contributions to the Israeli military is not the only way to take action to oppose U.S. aid to Israel. See below for action ideas:
